Diocese Celebrates Patronal Feast Mass and Kaleidoscope of Faith for Families June 25

The Catholic Diocese of Lubbock will celebrate its 39th Anniversary with a Patronal Feast Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25 at Christ the King Cathedral in Lubbock. The Diocese's patroness is the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Mass will serve to kick-off the diocese's 40th anniversary year to be celebrated in June 2023.
Kaleidoscope of Faith Families Celebrate will follow the Mass at 1:15 p.m. at the Catholic Renewal Center. Featured speakers include musician Joe Melendrez and diocesan priests Fr. Nahum Lopez, pastor of St. Teresa Church in Lubbock, and Fr. Heriberto Mercado, pastor of Immaculate Conception church in Muleshoe and St. Mary Magdalen Church in Earth. All parishioners are invited to participate in both events.
The program includes an afternoon of faith, family and fellowship. Food trucks will be available at the Catholic Renewal Center, 4620 4th St., Lubbock, for lunch. Families are asked to register for Kaleidoscope of Faith online at by clicking here. There is no registration fee.
