The Las Posadas Celebration will begin Monday, Dec. 16 and go through Friday, Dec. 20 at 7:00 p.m. The celebration will begin with a Rosary, a meal, and breaking of a piñata. If you would like to host a day of Las Posadas, please contact the Parish Office or Martha Rodriguez. If you would like to donate candy and piñatas, please bring all donations to the Parish Office.
St. Michael Parish will raffle off a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 Truck as part of the 40th Annual Sausage Festival. Tickets are $10 each and are available to purchase after weekend Masses or during business hours in the Parish Office. You can volunteer to sell tickets, as well, to help raise funds for the Parish. Visit the Parish Office to check out books of tickets to sell. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the Live Auction during the Sausage Festival on Feb. 16, 2025.
St. Michael Parish is seeking youth to become altar servers to assist the priest and deacons at Mass. Training will begin in January 6 and continue for eight weeks on Mondays from 6-8 p.m. in the Church. Youth who have already received First Holy Communion are eligible for the training. Sign-up opportunities are available after weekend Masses in the gathering space.
St. Michael Parish has formed a new prayer group for men seeking spiritual growth through devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God. St. Michael's Men of the Rosary has begun meeting on Saturdays at 7:45 a.m. in the Church to pray the Rosary in English. Men of the parish are invited to participate and find out more how a devotion to our Blessed Mother can help you be a better man, husband and father.
A Novena to St. Michael the Archangel, patron of our parish, has begun and will continue through Saturday, Nov. 28. The Rosary, led by the Misioneros Del Inmaculado Corazon de Maria, will be recited in Spanish at 6 p.m. in the Church daily. The Feast of St. Michael, Rafael and Gabriel, Archangles, is Sept. 29.
St. Michael Parish welcomes back our students for CCE and Youth programs. Classes are underway and registration continues. CCE from Pre-K to 5th meets from 10:20 - 11:20 a.m. on Sundays. Youth/Ablaze for 6th-12th meets 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesdays. The registration fee is $20 per child. St. Michael Parish will host the Fall Convention of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Saturday, September 24 from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Cost is $17 at the door and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. All women are invited.
St. Michael Parish welcomes Fr. Dylan S. Crawley who will join the pastoral staff July 1 as associate pastor. Fr. Crawley has served this past year as parochial vicar at Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Elizabeth Catholic Churches in Snyder. He was ordained in the Diocese of Lubbock June 3, 2023.
The Parish Administrative Office will be closed Thursday, March 28, Friday March 29 and Monday, April 1 for the Easter Triduum and Easter Sunday holidays. Offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2.
St. Michael's will host an Easter Egg Hunt for children at 10:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, March 31 in front of the Parish Administrative Building. The Parish Office is accepting candy donations only for the event. Please bring your donations to the Parish Office by Wednesday March 27.
St. Michael Catholic Church will join St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church to host the Levelland Community Good Friday Stations of the Cross 12:00 p.m. March 29 at the Hockley County Courthouse Square. Participants will recall, pray and reflect on the 14 Stations of Jesus' Passion as they walk the four sides of the square. All people of any faith are welcome join in this community worship experience.

St. Michael Parish will host a Lenten Mission on Sunday, March 17 in English and Monday, March 18 in Spanish. Deacon Jerry Dueñes with St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Shallowater will be the featured presenter. A meal will be served in the Parish Hall at 6 p.m. with the Mission presentation to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Church.
A Lenten Penance Service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5 from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. in the Church. Arrangements are being made to schedule an adequate number of priests to assist with confessions.
The St. Michael Funeral Ministry will be selling cheese enchiladas plates for Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 11:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. and 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Plates are available for dine in or carry out for $10 each and include two cheese enchiladas, beans, rice, salad, drink and dessert. Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence from meat. All proceeds go toward the Funeral Ministry.
The Knights of Columbus will host a Fish Fry on each Friday during Lent from 5:00-7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Cost is $12 a plate for adults and $6 a plate for children 10 and younger. Carry out plates are $12. Menu includes fried fish, french fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, pinto beans, dessert and tea. The fish fry dinner will be held Feb 16, 23, March 1, 8, and 15. Carry out plates only on March 22.

Sausage is vacuumed-packed in approximately 2 - 2.5 lb. packages. You can make your purchase at the Parish Office during regular business hours 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 319 E. Washington St. Open during lunch.
St. Michael Parish will observe the beginning of the Season of Lent on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14 with the following services: 10 a.m. Imposition of Ashes at Covenant Hospital Levelland; 12 p.m. Imposition of Ashes at South Plains College Sundown Room; 12:15 p.m. Communion Service and Imposition of Ashes in the Church; 7:00 p.m. Bilingual Mass in the Church. It is an observed day of fasting and abstinence from meat.
