The Liturgy Commission assists the Pastor with planning, coordinating and implementing the various aspects of the liturgical activities of the Parish. The literal definition of "liturgy" is "work." Therefore, it is the work of praising God through the celebration of the Eucharistic Rite or Mass.
Members of the commission represent the different liturgical ministries. Meetings occur four or five times a year in order to plan for the various liturgical seasons of the Church Year. Commission members work together to provide for the spiritual development of each member of the Parish through liturgical celebrations, significant prayer experiences and spiritual growth programs. To this end, the commission identifies all the various cultural and age groups in the Parish and works towards the full, conscious and active participation in the liturgy of all these members.
