Whether you are looking for a new parish home, returning to the practice of the Catholic faith, visiting family or friends, or wanting to learn more about our beautiful Catholic faith, St. Michael Parish is most blessed to have you with us.
The mission of St. Michael Parish is to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive to facilitate a real encounter with Christ through the Sacraments, discipleship, evangelization and outreach to all those we meet. We seek to continue our faith through youth catechesis, family formation, and community development.
St. Michael Parish is participating in #iGiveCatholic, an annual giving day when the faithful from around the nation come together to raise charitable dollars for Catholic parishes, schools and ministries in participating dioceses. This giving day is Nov. 28 which is also #GivingTuesday. Your generosity will support our efforts to update our Religious Education Center.
St. Michael Parish's education program is serving more than 350 K-12 students in our religious education program. However, our Religious Education Center is more than 60 years old and our classrooms are in need of renovation and updating. One of the the needs our Catechists have identified is the need to replace aging chalkboards with modern whiteboards. In some classrooms, chalk does not even work on the old boards. It is so faint that children have a hard time seeing the words written on the boards. We have 8 classrooms in the Education Center and 2 classrooms in Incarnate Word Hall that need to be updated.
Such a simple request, but also a costly one that cannot be fulfilled without your generosity. With your help, we can do a better job of teaching our young people the richness of our Catholic Faith. All proceeds from #iGiveCatholic on #GivingTuesday will be applied toward this project and other education needs.
Advanced giving is underway now and the last day to give online or in person is November 28. To donate go to our #iGiveCatholic page.
